Hyvärilä – Because the value of an experience is immeasurable
Hyvärilä Youth and Holiday Centre is like a small village in the middle of nature. It offers plenty of activities for young people and anyone involved in youth work all year round. Hyvärilä is a former farm located by the beautiful Lake Pielinen in Nurmes, North Karelia, Finland. Hyvärilä is also an excellent venue for a holiday, sports or different events.

The Tonttupolku (Elf Trail) is a Christmassy experience tour that is suitable for the whole family. The Tonttupolku can be explored independently between 29.11.2025 and 6.1.2026 in the cottage village of the Hyvärilä camping area.

Nice mansion hotel. Peaceful location and atmosphere. The room was clean and functional. The sofa bed was not good. Beds ok. Basic breakfast, somewhat sparse, beautiful milieu. A functioning entity. The French balcony mentioned in the room was indeed a small balcony. Not just a door in the wall. There was a nice big balcony in the corridor.
I stayed at Hyvärilä a few days in one of the mökki and in a tent. Good prices, friendly staff, the place offers a lot of services! For campers sauna in the main building is included. Washrooms in the camping area could use renovation but are still functional. Unfortunately the soap was empty and not refilled in the time I was there.You can reach many hiking possibilities within an hour by car. This makes Hyvärilä a perfect location for hikers that prefer to see a lot of nature and not spend too much time on driving. I would visit again anytime.Only thing: if you have sensitive ears, you might want to place your tent further away from the PielisAreena. The ventilation of the building creates a low but ongoing background noise. This sadly spoils the silence of the place a bit.
The campsite was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect! Special praise for rice porridge and berry juice. The shower and toilet facilities could be better, but they were also functional. The bottom of the swimming beach was not the most pleasant, but it was nice to take a dip in the lake from the end of the pier. I will definitely come again.

Friendly service and a great, modern sauna.We booked a night's stay in our camper and it was all very reasonable, especially considering how many facilities they have here. The hotel in sight looks really nice too, serving affordable breakfast, lunch and dinners and their shower/sauna facilities are just downright stunning. I would absolutely stay here again.
Good breakfast with fresh Siika fish with a variety north Karelian local food
Very nice and organized place. It is pretty isolated because it is in the middle of ice. There are plenty of snow activities you can do. There is also sauna. the nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away by car and 20 minutes by bike.
Kiva kartanohotelli. Rauhallinen sijainti ja tunnelma. Huone oli siisti ja toimiva. Sohvasänky ei ollut hyvä. Pedit ok. Aamupala perusvarma, hieman niukka kaunis miljöö. Toimiva kokonaisuus. Huoneessa mainittu ranskalainen parveke olikin pieni parveke. Ei vain ovi seinässä. Käytävällä oli hyvä iso parveke.
Olin Hyvärilässä muutaman päivän yhdessä mökissä ja teltassa. Hyvät hinnat, ystävällinen henkilökunta, paikka tarjoaa paljon palveluita! Leiriläisille sisältyy päärakennuksen sauna. Leirintäalueen pesutilat voisivat olla peruskorjauksen tarpeessa, mutta silti toimivat. Valitettavasti saippua oli tyhjä eikä sitä täytetty uudelleen siellä ollessani.Moniin vaellusmahdollisuuksiin pääsee tunnissa autolla. Tämä tekee Hyvärilästä täydellisen paikan retkeilijöille, jotka haluavat nähdä paljon luontoa eivätkä vietä liikaa aikaa ajamiseen. Vierailisi uudelleen milloin tahansa.Ainoa asia: jos sinulla on herkät korvat, telttasi kannattaa sijoittaa kauemmas PielisAreenalta. Rakennuksen ilmanvaihto luo matalan, mutta jatkuvan taustamelun. Tämä valitettavasti hieman pilaa paikan hiljaisuuden.
Leirintäalue oli siisti, viihtyisä ja rauhallinen. Vastaanoton henkilökunta on ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Aamiainen oli täydellinen! Erityiskehut riisipuurolle ja marjamehulle. Suihku- ja wc-tilat voisivat olla paremmatkin, mutta nekin olivat toimivat. Uimarannan pohja ei ollut kaikkein miellyttävin, mutta laiturin päästä oli mukava pulahtaa järveen. Tulen ehdottomasti uudestaankin.
Paljon erilaisia mukavia aktiviteetteja perheen kanssa. Rentouttavaa mennä välillä talon valmiiseen pöytään rauhassa ruokailemaan. Hintaan kuuluvissa saunavuoroissa oikein siistit saunat & suihkut. Tyytyväiset caravaanarit
Paljon siistimpi paikka mitä osasin odottaa. Todella tilavat korkeat huoneet ja kaikki toimi erinomaisesti. Aamiainen melkein hotellitasoinen. Henkilökunta hieman ujoa.
Ehdottomasti paras lounaspaikka koko Pohjois-Karjalassa. Runsas ja monipuolinen salaattipöytä ja pääruoka 'viimmesen päälle'. Eipä ammattikokeilta muuta voi odottaakaan.Ja ympäristössä odotettavissa hyvää tulevana kesänä:Frisbee-rata korjataan ja laajennetaan 18-reikäiseksi upean leirintä- ja matkailuvaunualueen ympärille.
Olimme matkailuautolla ja palvelu oli respassa aivan mahtavaa 🙂Paikkaa voimme suositella ihan kenelle vaan. Kävimme aamupalalla ja maksoimme 13,5€/hlö ja aamupala oli runsas ja monipuolinen, ei sillä rahalla olisi viittinyt omaa aamiaista tehdä autossa 🙂Pihapiiristä löytyy monenmoista akvititeettiä ainakin kesällä, myös lapsiperheelle sopiva ja viihtyisä paikka.Tullaan kyllä toistekki 🙂
